Encampment:
A Black Tortoise Constellation
Key Star: Alpha Peg (Alpha Pegasi)
The Encampment Asterism has six stars and to ancient Chinese Astrologers it represented an encampment arount the barracks, or ancient imperial guards. Derek Walters, a scholar in the field of Astrology suggests the following Portent for Encampment:
Any kind of construction or building work might be carried out today with fortunate results. All kinds of good fortune will accrue to the instigator of new ventures and schemes begun on this day.**
Early Arabian Astrologers called the Encampment Al Fargh al Mukdim and their Portent is as follows:
Causes union, health of captives, and destroys buildings and prisons. With Moon here, plant, sow, bargain, marry but do not navigate.*
In ancient India, the Encampment was called Purva Bhadra-Pada and the interpretation is:
A severe asterism belonging to the Brahmin caste and favorable for acts of disgrace, destruction, deceit, imprisonment, beating, burning and poison when containing the Moon. Those born on the lunar day will be wicked, mean, deceitful, shepherds, thieves, torturers, and irreligious. With Moon here at birth native will be sorrowful, wealthy, clever, submissive to women, miserly and of distinct speech. Rules the southeast of houses and the left thigh.*
