Three Stars:
A White Tiger Constellation
Key Star: Delta Ori (Delta Orionis)
"Three Stars" actually has seven stars in the constellation. Ancient Chinese Astrologers call it Shen, three side by side, ruled by Mercury. It's astrological symbolism is described thus:
For those who build today, there will be rewards; beginning new ventures therefore presages success. It is not lucky for the winding up of affairs, or for burials, since these will be followed by sickness or the dear of a distant relative. Nor is it a good day for marriages and betrothals which will end in separation of the parties.**
Early Arabian Astrologers called the "Three Stars" Al Han'ah. Here is their Portent:
Favorable for hunting, besieging towns, and the revenge of princes, destroys harvests and fruits, and hinders the operation of the physician. With Moon here, plough, sow, but do not travel.*
In ancient India, Astrologers called "Three Stars" Ardra, and offered the following Portent:
A sharp asterism belonging to the butcher caste and favorable for punishment, torture, imprisonment, exorcism, mesmerism and separation or union when containing the Moon. Those born on the lunar day will deal in pod-grains, black magic, sorcery, exorcism, and will delight in murder, torture, lying, theft, cheating and adultery. With Moon here at birth native will be insincere, proud, ungrateful, cruel, sinful, deceitful and wicked. Rules temples and the eyes.*
